Council

That the council agenda dated May 16, 2023 be approved as circulated.

That council receives consent agenda items 6.1 to 6.27 for information and that the regular council minutes of May 2, 2023 be adopted.

THAT the Council of the Township of Perth South receive the report entitled Consent Application File B02/23, submitted by Trevor McNeil on behalf of Marcor Farms Ltd. (Jerry Van Straaten) for lands described as Concession 6, Part Lot 19, Downie Ward (4742 Line 26), Township of Perth South; AND THAT Perth South Council recommend that the County of Perth Land Division Committee APPROVE Severance Application File B02/23, subject to the conditions listed in the report.

That the Director of Public Works update report be received for information.

That the Drainage Superintendent update report be received for information.

That the Township of Perth South directs staff to have the technician from the local maintenance shop do a overall assessment review of the current loader #08 and prepare a report on its overall condition.

That the accounts payable listing dated May 12, 2023 for the period April 29 to May 12, 2023 in the amount of $103,042.44 be approved.

That the 2022 Municipal Drainage Report, dated May 16, 2023, be received for information.

That the Council of the Township of Perth South receive the report titled 2022 Annual Investment Report, dated May 16, 2023, for information.

That the Council of the Township of Perth South receive the report titled Kirkton Swimming Pool Financial Report and Reserve Balances, dated May 16, 2023, for information.

That the Council of the Township of Perth South receive the report titled Natural Gas Expansion in Perth South – Road 125 – Update 1, dated May 16, 2023, for information.

THAT the Report regarding an Update on Planning Applications, dated May 16, 2023, be received for information.

That Council receives the verbal update from the CAO/Treasurer for information.

That Council directs the Treasurer to transfer $50,000.00 from the Economic Development reserve fund to the Perth South Kirkton Woodham Pool reserve fund.

That council directs the Treasurer to transfer $84,000.00 from the Levy Stabilization reserve fund in order to set a 4.5% tax rate as well as increase the waste bin fees to cover $30,000 short fall in waste bin revenue.

That the Clerk's update report be received for information.

That Council receives the request for a report drain for the Levy Municipal Drain; and further, that Council appoints Spriet Associates to prepare a report on the proposed drainage works.

That Council receives the Report entitled Amend Procedural By-law to Amend Regular Meeting Start Time and further approves changing the start time of the council meeting held on the third Tuesday to 6:30 p.m.

THAT the Report regarding the Council Payroll – April 2023, dated May 16, 2023, including total payroll of $6,342.39 be approved.

THAT the Report regarding the Mayor’s Monthly Activity for the month of April 2023, dated May 16, 2023, be received for information.

That By-law 16-2023 being a by-law to adopt, confirm and ratify matters dealt with by resolution of the Township of Perth South be given first, second, and third readings, and be properly signed and sealed.
